I am in fact still here making cards, just at a slower rate than usual. Burnout for the project has been creeping in slowly, but I still feel passionate enough about it to push it to a point where the commons are at least in SOME kind of finished state before I become too busy to focus on the project.
Red card design proved to be pretty difficult to implement, and I suspect green will fare similarly. It was a weak point I figured I would have, as Red and Green are two of my least played/experimented with colors. I still have a pretty good grasp of their design philosophy and all that, but it was more difficult to make cards that I personally would want to play – especially at common.
Still, my main focus with red was lots and lots of the Sharpen mechanic to be able to build a good foundation for the Red/Blue archetype of the set, as well as Paralysis for the Red/Black archetype. There are a couple novel designs laying around in here somewhere, and I’m sure after some reworks/redesigns it’ll be a serviceable set of commons.
